Due to the increasing price of the Brass Geyser Valves, back in 1994, the South African market was in need of a new advanced Geyser Valve that was more affordable, modern and effective. Advanced Valve units were redeveloped and boast an FDA approved Metal Replacement Polymer body. Brass compression fittings are still used to attach the valves to pipework, much like the forged counterparts.
