How the Barcode Scanner works

Add items to your Agrinet basket directly from your mobile from anywhere in your store!

Start by unlocking your mobile device and opening the internet browser of your choice. This could be Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser you prefer.

In the browser's address bar, type in the following URL: pwa.agrinet.co.za and press "Enter" or "Go" on your Mobile Phone keyboard.

Once the Agrinet Barcode Scanner App webpage loads, you'll notice an option to add the app to your device's homescreen. This will create a shortcut for easy access in the future.

For iPhone/iOS users: Tap the share icon (usually represented as a square with an arrow pointing upward) at the bottom of the browser. Then, select "Add to Home Screen" and follow the prompts to confirm the addition.

For Android users: Tap the browser's menu (typically represented by three dots or lines) in the upper-right corner. Choose the "Add to Home Screen" option and confirm the addition.

Now, open the Agrinet Barcode Scanner App from your homescreen by tapping on its icon. You'll be prompted to log in using your Agrinet website account login details. Enter your username and password, then click or tap "Log In."

To use the barcode scanning feature, you'll need to grant the app permission to access your mobile device's camera. Follow the prompts to enable camera access when prompted.

With the camera enabled, you're ready to start using the Agrinet Barcode Scanner App. Point your device's camera at a product's barcode, and the app will automatically scan it. You can then add scanned items to your Agrinet basket.

Once you've added the desired products to your basket, you can proceed to checkout directly from your mobile device or return to your desktop for checkout later.
