HOW TO IMPLEMENT YOUR OWN RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEM

Rainwater harvesting is a great way to conserve water and reduce your water bills. Wetec's products are perfect for setting up a DIY rainwater harvesting system. Make sure you’re informed on Wetec’s rainwater harvesting products and how they can help your client’s save a ton on their water bills by following the steps below:

Step 1: Install the Rainwater Harvesting Leaf Eater Advanced 100mm

The Rainwater Harvesting Leaf Eater Advanced 100mm is a compact and versatile rain head that captures better quality water. It keeps leaves, debris, mosquitoes, rodents, reptiles, and other pests out of your pipes. The patented single screen technology allows for advanced debris shedding. Pivot the outlet to suit vertical or horizontal downpipes. A single mosquito-proof stainless steel mesh screen with 0.955mm aperture is included.

To install the Rainwater Harvesting Leaf Eater Advanced 100mm:

  1. Cut the downpipe where you want to install the Rain Head.
  2. Fit the Rain Head to the downpipe with the pivot outlet pointing in the desired direction.
  3. Ensure the mosquito-proof stainless steel mesh screen is securely in place.

Step 2: Install the Rainwater Harvesting First Flush Downspout 100mm

The Rainwater Harvesting First Flush Downspout 100mm improves water quality, protects pumps and internal appliances. It has a slow release valve that ensures the chamber empties itself after rain and resets automatically. It is ideal for use in conjunction with a Rain Head. The 1 meter of 100mm pipe holds 8.8L of water.

To install the Rainwater Harvesting First Flush Downspout 100mm:

  1. Cut the downpipe where you want to install the First Flush.
  2. Fit the First Flush to the downpipe.
  3. Attach a hose to the outlet of the First Flush and lead it away from the tank or garden.

Step 3: Install the Rainwater Harvesting Tank Screen 480mm

The Rainwater Harvesting Tank Screen 480mm is a non-corrosive screen that keeps mosquitoes and pets out. It is not more than 1mm to ensure that all water passes through it. Unless rainwater enters the tank through pipes that are connected directly to the top or side of the tank, you must ensure all water passes through a tank screen at the tank entry point.

To install the Rainwater Harvesting Tank Screen 480mm:

  1. Cut a hole in the top of your tank where you want to install the screen.
  2. Fit the screen to the top of the tank.
  3. Ensure the screen is securely in place.

Step 4: Install the Rainwater Harvesting Tank Gauge Next Generation

The Rainwater Harvesting Tank Gauge Next Generation is a level indicator that monitors your rainwater supply. It is easy to install and does not require batteries or wiring. The gauge seals directly to the tank and utilizes a reliable solid float system. The easy-to-read dial has "empty" and "full" indicators.

To install the Rainwater Harvesting Tank Gauge Next Generation:

  1. Cut a hole in the top of your tank to fit the gauge.
  2. Screw the gauge onto the tank.
  3. Attach the float to the gauge arm.
